Our family is a fusion of a number of cultures. My husband is African-born, from a small, ethnically NOT diverse, tribal community. I’m a Pacific Northwesterner, from a small, ethnically NOT diverse, isolated community. We met in China by way of Korea and Mexico, respectively. This blog is meant to be a record of our efforts to take the best of all the worlds we encounter in language, in adventures, in food, and in the foibles of everyday life, building bridges as we go.
